Project Lifesaver

The Project Lifesaver Board met on Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.  There are now 22 clients in the program.  Capt. Blackwood conducted training for 5 Cullman Police Dept. Officers, giving a total of 9 Police Officers and 19 Sheriff’s Deputies certified for the Search and Rescue Team.  Four wristband transmitters are not working and needed replacing.  The board voted to purchase 4 new improved wristband transmitters, at a cost of $1437.97, that comes with a year’s supply of 60 day batteries and a range of over 1 mile.  Andy Wray made a presentation to Alacare Home Health which resulted with 2 new clients.  All Home Health Agencies will be contacted for presentations.  The Project Lifesaver Program/Pilot Club will have an exhibit booth at the County Fair, Sept. 12 – 23.  The Sheriff’s Office and Police Dept. will coordinate staffing the booth along with the Pilot Club.  The next meeting will be Monday, October 21, 2013, 4:30 pm at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.
