Thanks to Rick Fox, Co Pilot of Ann, for his expert assistance in developing the forms we are using.

Community Participation by Pilot Club at Farm Fest

Fun was had by all at Cullman’s Farm Fest.  Peggy Harris, Cheryl and John Bryan, Nancy Moore, and Valerie Dotson were “assistants” to top chefs from Birmingham at the Festhalle.  Pilot Club members helped with preparation of samples and giving out the samples to audience.  Food was delicious and all members learned some great food tips

Thank You Nancy

Our sincere thanks to Nancy Moore for inviting the Pilot members into her home for Lunch Bunch on August 30.  An enjoyable time was had by all.  Those in attendance were:  Cheryl, Heather, Martha, Beverly, Peggy D., Melba, Peggy H., Rebecca, Valerie, and Ann F.  It was a great opportunity for everyone to relax and visit with one another while enjoying a delicious lunch.  Nancy was a gracious hostess and we appreciate all that she did to make this Lunch Bunch a special event.

Pilot Club September 2013 President’s Letter

Hope you are enjoying the nice weather.  We are almost officially into Fall season,–our busiest fundraising quarter.  You will read more about the major fundraisers in this issue.  Be sure to sign up to work on each of them.  The County Fair starts Thursday, and we will have an exhibit next to the Project Lifesaver Committee.  See Beverly if you can volunteer to work an unfilled shift.

Beverly, Joyce, Peggy, Valerie, and I attended the Northern Area Workshop August 17 in Guntersville.  There were presentations on the ABC’s of Pilot, Membership, and Publicity, and we able to get some additional good suggestions from the other clubs.  The first TBI Camp is planned for next Spring–more information later.

This month’s program is “A Personal Story,” presented by Mickey Parrish.  We will also honor the Pilot International Sweetheart.

Fall Council is coming up October 11-13 at the Huntsville Marriott.  Let me know if you plan to attend.  The Pilot Club of Tuscaloosa is still selling tee shirts with the Alabama District logo.  Orders placed now can be picked up at Fall Council.

Thanks to all who give their time and talents to Pilot.
